Thanksgiving '09

This year we stayed here and had a nice little Thanksgiving with our little family. Nothing too big or stressful. Except the part when I realized I may have left a bag of "stuff" in the turkey. I pulled out two bags when I was rinsing it off and thought hmmm it seems I pulled out three last year but couldn't seem to find it.

After getting the turkey cleaned and buttered and salted up I threw it in its bag and into the oven. I then looked over the turkey cooking instructions that were included which I read a million times over last year, it being my first time doing a turkey. This year I must've thought I was pro or something because I didn't look at it much until after the fact. That is when I read about removing 'three' bags. "Ah man, I only got two are there really three?" So, after calling to consult with my mother who was busy cooking in her own kitchen we decided I should get back into my turkey and search the neck cavity a bit better. Luckily the turkey had only been in about 20 minutes or so and sure enough hiding up in there was another bag. Ick, glad I got it out. Anyways, that was the only stress I think of the meal for me! Here are a few pics we took as we were getting ready to eat our dinner.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Memory Lane

I've been going through our picture files on the computer the last few days trying to organize the mess they are in. I came across this video of Kenner around the age of two and it made me smile. It was cute to hear his little voice and see how he use to be. I was glad I had recorded it.

Thought I'd share. Kinda long but oh so cute and you don't want to miss the little prayer at the end!!

Preschool Thanksgiving Program

Today Kenner's preschool put on a little program and had a Thanksgiving lunch for all the kids and families to enjoy. Each class had certain items to provide for the meal (I took stuffing) and they provided the turkey. So, Wayne got off work for a bit and we met up at the preschool for the program.

Waiting for things to get started Still waiting. . . .

Oh, here they come. Lovely, Kenner has his finger up his nose.

He knows we are watching him, look at that grin!

A good shot of his class but Kenner decided to avoid eye contact with us since we were taking too many pics.

They sang a few songs, which Kenner didn't really sing. He looked a bit overwhelmed by the big crowd of people. He then started talking to the kid behind him. What a stink. Then we enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving meal, it was pretty tasty!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving next week!

Halloween is such a Treat!

Well, I think the kids had a fun Halloween. Kenner was wanting to have more Halloween at school. Sorry, got to wait until next year!

We had a fun week and ended the holiday out trick or treating with our neighbors Saturday night. The kids got lots more treats and Myer enjoyed walking around the neighborhood knocking on doors alot better then the trunk or treat. So, overall the holiday was a success!

Kenner eating at the trunk or treat! Can you tell what he is? A few parts of his costume are cut out of this pic that may have given it away.

Playing the ring toss around the ghost pop bottles!

What a grouchy little tigger!

Saturday night started out with the grouchy tigger again. Wayne commented that he should've been Eeyore!

Let's get goin'!
I think Kenner was a bit tired of wearing his hat this night. Dad was trying to show him it was "cool" to wear it and his moustache so we could get a pic.

Luckily my neighbor got this one pic. Unfortunately, he wouldn't leave the moustache on.

Myer purked up as the night went on and enjoyed running up and knocking on the doors with the kids.
