This year we stayed here and had a nice little Thanksgiving with our little family. Nothing too big or stressful. Except the part when I realized I may have left a bag of "stuff" in the turkey. I pulled out two bags when I was rinsing it off and thought hmmm it seems I pulled out three last year but couldn't seem to find it.
After getting the turkey cleaned and buttered and salted up I threw it in its bag and into the oven. I then looked over the turkey cooking instructions that were included which I read a million times over last year, it being my first time doing a turkey. This year I must've thought I was pro or something because I didn't look at it much until after the fact. That is when I read about removing 'three' bags. "Ah man, I only got two are there really three?" So, after calling to consult with my mother who was busy cooking in her own kitchen we decided I should get back into my turkey and search the neck cavity a bit better. Luckily the turkey had only been in about 20 minutes or so and sure enough hiding up in there was another bag. Ick, glad I got it out. Anyways, that was the only stress I think of the meal for me! Here are a few pics we took as we were getting ready to eat our dinner.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Memory Lane
I've been going through our picture files on the computer the last few days trying to organize the mess they are in. I came across this video of Kenner around the age of two and it made me smile. It was cute to hear his little voice and see how he use to be. I was glad I had recorded it.
Thought I'd share. Kinda long but oh so cute and you don't want to miss the little prayer at the end!!

Preschool Thanksgiving Program
Waiting for things to get started
A good shot of his class but Kenner decided to avoid eye contact with us since we were taking too many pics.
They sang a few songs, which Kenner didn't really sing. He looked a bit overwhelmed by the big crowd of people. He then started talking to the kid behind him. What a stink. Then we enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving meal, it was pretty tasty!

Halloween is such a Treat!
Well, I think the kids had a fun Halloween. Kenner was wanting to have more Halloween at school. Sorry, got to wait until next year!
We had a fun week and ended the holiday out trick or treating with our neighbors Saturday night. The kids got lots more treats and Myer enjoyed walking around the neighborhood knocking on doors alot better then the trunk or treat. So, overall the holiday was a success!
Saturday night started out with the grouchy tigger again. Wayne commented that he should've been Eeyore!

A Fun Halloween Week!
There are lots of fun activities going on for Halloween this week. Tuesday we had our Ward Trunk or Treat. There was a big turnout. There were some fun activities, a little dinner, some great costumes, but the highlight was going around to the cars getting candy filled into the kids' pumpkins. I'll post pics of that activity with the rest of the Halloween pics we may take on Saturday later.
Wednesday Kenner had a Halloween party at school. He came home with some fun Halloween projects they made and a big sack of goodies from the school party. He got to wear his costume and they got the kids pizza for lunch. I think he had a great time.
Today we got together with our neighbor and let the kids paint some pumpkins. Those are the pictures I wanted to share for now! Happy Halloween!
Giving me funny glances. Sometimes when I try to get him to look at me and he knows I am taking pics he won't look.

He's Got Moves!
I get the biggest kick out of Myer's dancing. I laugh to tears and just had to share! Enjoy! Wait for 25 or so seconds before he gets going.

We like Visitors!
I'll warn ya now, big post and lots of pics!
My parents came to visit us last week. They were suppose to get here around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday but due to a flight delay in Salt Lake they got all messed up. I felt bad for them. Instead of flying from SL to Phoenix and from there to here, they had to go from Phoenix back to Las Vegas and from Las Vegas to here. It added an additional flight to their trip, they arrived about 4 hours later then they were suppose to and their luggage got lost. Fortunately, their luggage finally arrived where it was suppose to and they brought it out to us at 2 in the morning. Goodness. So, that set us off for a bit but was soon forgotten.
They stayed from Wednesday night until Monday afternoon. We had a good time visiting and finding some new things to do with them.
We have zoo passes this year so we took them to see the zoo. Before going in we went over and took the little train ride around the park.

Kenner didn't want to get up and ride with Grandpa for a bit. When we finally convinced him to try it he realized it was all sorts of fun and became the driver of the cart from then on out. Much to our surprise Grandpa let him take control quite a bit. He was a CRAZY driver and all over the place. He loved it!

These hippos are usually lazy in the water. But this day we got to see them get up and out to get some food. I don't know why but I just love seeing the hippos!

I think my parents experienced a few different types of weather while they were here. A little hot and humid (the day we went to the zoo) cold and rainy, and a nice pleasant day with perfect weather.
My mom and I got some good hours of shopping in on Friday while Myer napped and Kenner sat with Grandpa. We actually ended up going back to the store 3 times total to get a better deal on the next day sale and make some exchanges. Little did we know we would pick a day with a big sale going on to shop, awesome!
On Saturday we drove out to see some of the Missions here. When we saw them Wayne and I were like, "We've been here for 3 years and we haven't seen these yet? What took us so long?" They were pretty neat to see and it was a wonderful day to be out walking around.
This one was beatiful and so much to see. We were too late to see the video they had in the visitors center. We could definately make a trip back to this one.
Here you can see the entrance that we walked in through. This wall encircled the whole area.

We tried to get some pics before my parents left but someone wasn't too cooperative and it was hard to get a good shot.
