Welcome Home!

We got home Saturday afternoon from the hospital. After admiring the baby in the carseat for a bit, Kenner decided he wanted to hold him.

Over the next few days Kenner enjoyed holding his brother often.

Myer would be close by but didn't want to hold him.

But then after a few days, I was feeding the baby in bed and Myer was sitting by me. He went and got his pillow and blankets. He wanted the baby to lay down by him. He enjoyed laying by him for a bit.
And made sure he was all covered up and taken care of.

And I believe he even held him for a minute for the first time while he was in bed this time. After that one time of holding him he then started to ask to hold him more often.

One evening we caught Kenner reading Fischer a book. So sweet!

Finally caught a picture of Myer actually holding his brother.

Sweet sleeping baby! He does an awful lot of this.

*I put up four new posts today since the hospital post. Don't miss them!

2 weeks later. . . . and finally announcing our New Baby Boy!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to post pics on here of our new baby boy!

Fischer Maurice Hartman arrived 2 weeks ago, on the 7th, at 1:30 p.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 in. long.

Labor and delivery went well. We went in bright and early that morning at 6am to be induced. My parents arrived the night before from their long car ride from Utah, stopping in Oklahoma to drop my Grandma off at my aunts for a visit while they came here. It worked out perfectly having them here to take care of the other boys while we were away at the hospital. Many thanks to them for doing that for us!

My parents stayed for a week and then Wayne's parents and little brother were able to come for a couple of days for a visit as well.

The boys love their new little brother and give him lots of kisses. Kenner asks to hold him often and Myer is always sure to ask and find out where the baby is and what he is doing. They have been really good with him. He's been a great baby so far. Very calm and content and sleeps ALOT! Sometimes I still can't believe we have three kids now! Reality is still sinking in but we've been doing well.

So, I have probably what will turn out to be a ton of pictures to post. I'll try to contain myself. This is going to have to be several posts I can see after going through my pictures. So, we'll start with the hospital stay and visitors we had there.

Say goodbye to the belly, or at least most of it! I just had to have Wayne take one last picture.
And he's here. When they broke my water it was green. So, when he was born before I could hold him they had to suction him out good and let the NICU team look at him. But after all checked out fine he was in my arms!

Proud Daddy!

Later that night Wayne went and picked up my parents and the kids to come meet the new baby. They were a bit hesitant and quiet walking in. Even Kenner which surprised me. It was cute to watch them come in and how they were acting.

But soon Kenner warmed up to the idea of holding his new brother.

Myer was happy to look but not get to close and not hold him.

Grandma I'm sure was happy to get him in her arms!

Now a family of five! Myer wasn't wanting to be close to the baby and hold still for the pic.

Wayne and I got to enjoy a nice quiet day at the hospital on Friday together with the baby.

Dressed and ready to go. Dad did the honors of getting you dressed while I got ready to leave.

Waiting to get wheeled out to the car.

Well, that will have to do for now! He he, that was alot already huh? And I'm not even done yet. We'll see when I get around to doing the rest.

Kenner is 5!!

We celebrated Kenner's 5th birthday yesterday! Can you believe it, 5?! I think he had a pretty good day. It started off great with his mom coming to sing Happy Birthday to him to wake him up! No better way to wake up then that I am sure!

I got up bright and early to pop popcorn for his preschool treat and make a nice fresh batch of waffles and some eggs for a good birthday breakfast before school.

Then it was off to school. They had chapel at preshcool this day and were going to be recognizing all the kids with birthdays. So, Myer and I stuck around for that. I forgot to grab my camera. The teachers at school took pics so I should see if I can get a digital copy. Anyways, all the kids went up front with their birthday crowns on and the parents came up and stood with them as they all got recognized and we counted to whatever age they were turning and then we sang! Kenner kept trying to claim he was still 4!

After school he got to do his favorite thing, play MarioKart wii, and I didn't make him do any work to play since it was his birthday after all! He got a call from Grandma Hartman and when dad got home we headed to Olive Garden for dinner. So nice that our kids enjoy that place as much as we do!

Dinner tasted great and we even got some people to come sing Happy Birthday to Kenner. Here he is being sung to. He was grinning and I think felt pretty special!

Once we got home it was time for presents!

This year we got him some Legos to start out his collection and hopefully a new hobby! Grandma/pa Hartman also sent a lego set that built a cool helicopter and truck! Dad was just as or even more excited then Kenner! He's also been into writing/drawing so he got a little art creativity desk and I got him a blank notebook and folder for work and something to put it in.

He also got some bday money from Great Grandma/pa Hartman and Grandma/pa Lowder! He's excited to go shopping!

First item of business after opening gifts, putting together the helicopter!

Cute Birthday Boy! Getting so big! Famous icecream sandwich cake for us! I guess I'm lucky my family doesn't like cake much. These make everyone happy!

Happy Birthday Kenner, we love you!
