Trunk or Treat!

Yesterday our ward had its Trunk or Treat! The gym was all decked out with decorations. I was impressed and had never been to one where they had decorated so much. They had several activities in the gym and some yummy treats. They had nachos, chex mix, hands stuffed with popcorn and candy corns for the fingernail, punch, and cupcakes galore. It was quite the party. After the activities in the gym we went out and did the trunk or treat. Some people really got into decorating their trunks and dressing up. It was alot of fun and Kenner got a nice little pumpkin full of candy. And guess what I've been hearing ever since?

This is my attempt to be a little more festive! I found a Witches hat for a buck at Walmart. Can't beat that. We took these pics while it was still light outside when we 1st got there. I was going to wear it when I passed out candy later that night and well, things got crazy and I totally forgot to put it on. Oops, good thing it was only a buck!

Fishing for some candy

I tried to get Kenner to do this bean bag throw but he didn't want to. Wayne did it instead and won him a treat. Kenner just crouched in the backround. Looking at this picture I think maybe he didn't want to participate because he wasn't so sure about the guy running the game. I think he was dressed up like a wizard and Kenner is eyeing him down! The wizard is the blurry purple blob and had like a long white beard on.

Our serious little tigger!

This is Myer's first Halloween! Unfortunately, this is about as far as his candy eating will go!
I put him down by Kenner's pumpkin while I unloaded some groceries this morning. Kenner was gone at preschool otherwise he probably wouldn't have let Myer get into his candy like this. He pulled several pieces out and chewed on them!

Work Party

Wayne's company has the best parties! I look forward to all of them every year. This is the 3rd time that we've been out to this Ranch for this party. It was on Saturday and we enjoyed nice weather, food and activities.

We started off by getting a little family picture. They have photographers there every year to take pictures and then mail you a copy later. After the picture, we headed for the food!

Had to take a few shots of everyone while enjoying some tasty food!

We all enjoyed the food but only took pictures of Kenner actually eating it. It's cuter seeing a little kid chow down rather then an adult!

Oh, and don't worry, this wasn't the only time we stopped to eat! You just can't help yourself there are food booths EVERYWHERE. We also enjoyed a few yummy treats from the Schwan man truck.

They had live country music going on while we ate but we didn't get in on any of the dancing. We headed over to the bouncy toys and carnival rides.

Here's Kenner playing in some of the boucy toys. This one didn't really have a line so Kenner got back in and played several times.

Playing in another bouncy toy that was a little harder to find him to get out because there were things he could hide behind. He doesn't like to come out when the time is up. I had to climb up one of those blow up toys where you climb up and then slide down at another party one time because he would not come down, little stinker. I felt silly climbing up the thing but secretly had fun bouncing down it!

They had a little area with animals you could go in and pet. We didn't go in there, I'm not even sure Kenner would want to be in there with the animals. But he did catch a little ride on one of the ponies.

Some pics Wayne took of the longhorns.

And last of all, this year they had several artists there doing caricatures. Wayne stood in a long line waiting while I took Kenner around to play in the blow up toys. I didn't realize Wayne was planning on getting us all drawn but when it was almost his turn he called me to come over and he had him draw all of us. It was kinda fun and it just makes me smile especially looking at the ones of the boys. How did he do?

Preschool Halloween Party

Last week Kenner's preschool had their Halloween party. They decided to do it then instead of this Thursday because one of the boys was going to be gone and there are so many other Halloween activities going on this week they decided to spread it out a bit.

So, Kenner got to go to preschool dressed up with the other kids. They did several Halloween activities, sang Halloween songs, went on a little parade to show off their costumes and get treats. They had fun and it was cute to see the kids all dressed up.

One of the activities was to make a halloween ghost out of their footprint. She had the kids dip their foot in white paint and put it on black paper and later draw a face on it. Kenner did not want to get his foot in the squishy paint so he opted out of this activity. He did the same thing the last time she painted their feet and did footprints. He doesn't like having messy stuff on his hands, face and I guess feet as well. Funny child. So, I did Myer's foot instead and got his cute little footprint.

Here are a few pics from the party!

I've had trouble finding Kenner a Halloween costume this year. I haven't been too impressed with anything in the stores and ya right, me make a costume. So, I ran out of time trying to find something before this little party. So, sadly he was a monkey again like last year. I don't think he really cares actually. I may try to find something on clearance this week as it gets closer to Halloween. If I find something worth buying then he may have a new costume to wear. If not he'll just be a monkey again. Oh well!

Alot of the costumes this year are all these superheros like Batman, Superman, the Hulk, etc. and Kenner just isn't into that stuff. I tried putting a batman mask on him and he did NOT want that over his face. The only costume I thought he might enjoy was the Mater costume from Cars that I saw but it was so cheesy looking I couldn't bring myself to pay $30 for it.

In need of an update!

It seems it has been awhile since I last posted. I've been wanting to post something new but I guess I've had a lack of anything truly interesting to share and was just being lazy about posting anything.

But Wayne is gone to a little overnighter Scout camp with his 11 yr. old scouts. It's a new calling for him and his first campout with them. He left yesterday around 4 and won't be home until today around 4:30 or so. I was hoping to get my hands on the 3rd Twilight series book to read while he was gone. But the person who lent me the first 2 is out of town and I've slowly gone from like 46th to 10th on the hold list at the library. Slowly but surely I'm getting there but it wasn't fast enough. I considered buying a copy at Walmart when I saw the display of books but wouldn't ya know, they had all the books but that one. So, I guess I will resort to blogging uninteresting things to pass some time.

I'm sure the grandma's will appreciate some pictures and updates at least (hopefully) so without further ado here are some random pics. It seems everything I post is just random, ha ha!

Below this post I'll add some other new posts so keep scrolling down to see more!

Oh, and if you haven't noticed I did add a few favorite pictures of mine along the side there.

Myers Wings!

Meet Myer's Wings (you may have to click on the picture to get a bigger and better view!)

He's been growing these for some time and I see here just how dreadful they looked. I would always try to keep them tucked down behind his ear when I saw them starting to stick out! I couldn't bring myself to cut my little boys hair so tucking was good enough for me. But Wayne complained about them often and threatened several times to get rid of them. Well, this day he finally took the scissors to them and that was the end of Myer's wings. Here are some pictures of Myers first hair trim!

Ah, please don't take my wings!

So Serious

How am I looking?

Much better

His pile of wings

And because he's just so darn cute and you know how I love to post a million pictures each post here are some more!

Gotta love that cheezer face!

Looks a bit uncomfortable

I took some funny pictures of Myer awhile ago sleeping in his swing. It got to be that whenever I'd put him in his swing he'd always sit forward. I guess it's time to officially put the swing away. I haven't really used it much lately because he doesn't seem to enjoy it like he use to but it is still out. But a couple of times I'd put him in it, he'd sit forward and next thing I knew he'd have fallen asleep with his head on the tray. Silly boy! Looked kinda uncomfortable so I'd try to push him back and he'd resist me and get kinda mad, but settle back down and go back to sleep.

Preschool

About a month ago Kenner started going to a little preschool once a week for 2 1/2 hrs. A lady in the ward was starting it up for some of the kids that were Kenner's age. He went for the 1st time while my parents were here. We were rushing out the door and my mom hurried and grabbed her camera to get a picture of Kenner on his 1st day of school! The sun was bright, her camera is slow :), so we didn't catch him before he had his hands up covering his face. And we didn't have time to try and get a better picture. So, here is Kenner on his 1st day going to preschool.

There are five other kids and one of the parents stays and helps each week. So, I only have to go once a month and it gives Kenner something fun and different to do and an opportunity to be with other kids as well. It's become my new grocery shopping time and I enjoy very much just going shopping with one kid. It's so nice!
